Timid and afraid, you are
Bandaging the cracks
Putting another glass to protect
It’s thicker, higher, and stronger
But still fragile, it is
Vulnerable and waspish
Through those cracks, I am thanking
As they let the light to come in
Beautifully, the light brightens up
Spotlights the true color of the heart
